Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue E. Taylor, an American stage actress and producer, has been known for her roles in the film Ray Undercover Brother as well as appearing in The Mentalist. She holds a BA in African-American Studies and an MFA from the Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue Lisa Ellis is a writer and American actor active in the theatre, television and film. She started her career as an actor in theater before going on to appear in many television shows, both mainstream and independent films. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw, a character on ABC's Quantico. In BET's massive series The Book of Negroes she played the role of Ariel. Not only did she get praise from critics for her role but was also awarded and nominations. In 1995, she made her debut in the role of Ariel on stage in The Tempest. She has performed on Broadway as a part of Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. In terms of her work in the film industry Her most well-known roles are Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express The Help. In the world of television, her character on ABC's drama about police High Incident is well known.
